De stijl van MrMartin
MrMartins muzikale stijl: catchy, poppy, uit het leven gegrepen teksten en veel ‘echte instrumenten’. Zijn podiumpresentatie: tomeloze energie, écht de connectie maken met het publiek en vooral: entertaining! Want Gentlebadboy MrMartin is extravert, een beetje excentriek, kleurrijk en een touch of badboy. Tijdens zijn optredens haalt MrMartin die kwaliteiten ook omhoog bij het publiek, want heeft niet iedereen dat in zich? En vervolgens maken wij er sámen een big bad party van. Met zijn energieke uitstraling vult MrMartin makkelijk de grote podia.
Muzikaal zijn MrMartin-liedjes toegankelijk, maar nooit banaal. Remco houdt van authentieke instrumenten, bespeeld door echte muzikanten. Met een lekkere beat eronder, zodat ze de luisteraar meenemen op een emotionele reis. Gevoelige ballads maken het repertoire van MrMartin helemaal af.
MrMartins wil je raken met zijn liedjes. Om te genieten wanneer je je lekker voelt, maar zeker ook om je te helpen in moeilijker tijden. Remco heeft een bewogen leven gehad en vertaalt zijn ervaringen en gevoelens in thema’s die iedereen herkent én persoonlijk kan invullen.
MrMartin-liedjes maken echt contact, voor je het weet vormen ze een waardevol onderdeel van je leven. En dat is precies de bedoeling!
Al vanaf vijfjarige leeftijd speelt MrMartin gitaar en zingt hij. Zijn veel oudere broers leerden hem spelen. Zij zijn muzikanten en één van de broers is nu tevens zijn producer. Sinds zijn zevende begint hij met liedjes schrijven en vanaf zijn twaalfde neemt zijn muziek serieuzere vormen aan. Op zijn twintigste verhuist MrMartin naar Engeland, waar hij in een hotel werkt en op feestjes regelmatig voor een muzikaal intermezzo zorgt. Zijn optredens vallen zodanig in de smaak dat hij overal in Engeland optreedt. Teruggekomen in Nederland richt MrMartin in 2015 Rascal op, een pop-rockband die met eigen nummers en covers gedurende 6 jaren behoorlijk succesvol is in venues in het popcircuit en festivals. De Corona pandemie zorgt voor een gedwongen pauze, die MrMartin gebruikt om veel nieuw materiaal te schrijven. Rascal wordt opgeheven en MrMartin vervolgt zijn muzikale reis.
‘NaNaNa’ is een typisch MrMartin-nummer: catchy én origineel, met een boodschap die bij velen een snaar zal raken. Het nummer gaat over hoe je soms je vorige leven achter moet laten om het geluk te vinden. Een vrouw verbreekt haar relatie en is nu ‘in between’, terwijl zij de rotzooi van haar relatie opruimt. Herkenbaar, licht melancholiek maar óók moedig en vol hoop voor de toekomst.
Als opvolgers van ‘NaNaNa’ zitten er nog prachtige singles in het vat, waarmee MrMartin de hitlijsten zal bestormen. Zijn aantal luisteraars online neemt hand over hand toe en de dj’s en influencers zien deze frisse wind mét levenservaring wel zitten. Volgend jaar staat MrMartin op de grote podia in het voorprogramma van internationale topartiesten. Verder speelt hij op diverse festivals. Zijn grote tourtruck zal overal in Nederland te zien zijn!
En bij de grenzen van Nederland zal het zeker niet blijven, want de eerste contacten met Groot-Brittannië en de Verenigde Staten zijn al gelegd.
